I am a recent graduate from the University of the West of Scotland with a BA in Performance. With a passion for the performing arts from a young age I have pursued my dreams of becoming an actor with my hard work and persistence. My journey into acting began when I attended classes at Inter Performing Arts Academy, formally know as 'UK Theatre School' and did an hour each of singing, dancing, and acting once a week. Here I did productions such as Jack and the Beanstalk, Christmas extraravaganza and Hairspray where I was a background singer and dancer. However, I wanted to be more ‘hands-on’ with acting and to step aside from the dancing/singing element of performance, so I joined an acting for screen summer class at the Royal Conservatoire of Scotland. Here, I learnt screen acting techniques such being realistic and natural. Less is more when it comes to acting in film, and this is a key piece of information I have kept with me when furthering my career. During this class, I also learnt how to work as an actor within a professionally supported shoot, as well as the casting process and the technical terminology like extreme wide shots, close-up shots, and the difference between diegetic and non-diegetic sound.

As I have continued to gain more acting knowledge, I have obtained skills such as method acting and improvisation. These skills help better me as an actor because they allow me to connect with the character on an emotional level. Furthermore, improvisation is often used by actors, therefore making it a key skill to have to help create an 'impactful' scene. Recently, I have worked with industry professional Drew Taylor-Wilson who is a theatre director, playwright and theatre artist development specialist. Wilson helped guid my final degree performance called 'Inside Flat Number 10', where my group addressed societal issues such as, the cost of living crisis and LGBTQ+ representation through various acting methods like, promenade theatre, improvisation and movement.

Lately I have also worked on student films such as 'The Last Night' and 'Across The Border' as a supporting actress, and wish to keep furthering my career in the arts through acting and filmmaking. Here I plan to make powerful change on female issues and to bring audiences together through the art of storytelling and my performances.
