I’m a recent BA Performance graduate from the University of the West of Scotland, driven by a lifelong passion for storytelling and the performing arts. My journey began at Inter Performing Arts Academy (formerly UK Theatre School), where I performed in shows like Jack and the Beanstalk and Hairspray as a singer and dancer. Eager to focus more on acting, I attended a screen acting course at the Royal Conservatoire of Scotland, which sharpened my on-camera skills and instilled the invaluable lesson that “less is more.” At university, I deepened my acting techniques, explored theatre history, and collaborated with industry professionals like Drew Taylor-Wilson on performances tackling real-world issues such as the cost of living crisis and LGBTQ+ representation. In my final year, my love for storytelling expanded beyond performing to filmmaking, prompting me to join a film and TV course focused on directing. I immersed myself in student productions, taking on roles from sound recordist to assistant director, which gave me a holistic view of filmmaking. Motivated by a desire to challenge how women are portrayed on screen, I’ve directed two short films and am now developing a production studio dedicated to women-led narratives—pursuing not just creative goals but a mission to shift perspectives and elevate overlooked voices.
